One thing you will notice that in most cases the clinics advertise the Costs of Lasik Eye Surgery at the bottom end, which is not the all round price. Another note on this issue is that when they advertise the price, they quote for one eye not both. Always be aware of that.

In my case, I was lucky as I knew someone in the hospital that I did my Lasik Surgery. The price came to around 1400 US dollars. That was around 700 US dollars each eye. Believe me when I say that this price was great back then. Plus I got to pay it in installments. I guess it is no harm if you know someone in the medical industry you might think they know Lasik Eye Surgeons in your area.

Now a days, the clinics charge you consultation fees first. Due to the recession most of the clinics now offer consultation for free. If not they are usually included in the total amount. Once they give the all clear (You can read the detail in my last post Pre-Operation) you will then be offered the price of doing the procedure. Most prices are in the round figure of 500-800 US dollar each eye.

Another pointer you need to ask your surgeon is whether or not the price includes post operation consultation. if there are any make sure to know how many you get. One more thing you have to be aware of, which is very important depending on the country you live in, which is insurance. Lets just say that worst case scenario the operation went wrong, will you be covered? Is the clinic it self covered?!

Always ask these questions and be extra attentive to what the doctors tell you. If possible make note. The last you want is to end up with a hefty Lasik Eye Surgery Cost to pay off.
